Free Publicity
Get free publicity wherever you can.
Invite the food writer at the local paper to visit your venue for a drink or a meal.
Suggest ideas for stories he or she might like to write concerning the pub & club industry.
If your venue gets a good review, create a poster (free from us to solely represented clients) that shows off the review in an attractive way, distribute it around the locality and put it up in your venue.
Make new friends
DJ’s. Who are the main DJ’s at your local radio station?
Make friends with them via Facebook, Twitter, email etc… and keep feeding them news of what’s happening in your pub or club, how much you have raised for charity, someone that sang there and is now famous etc…. Make their life easier; they are always looking for news!
Editors
Find the name of the entertainment editor of your local paper. Offer to write an article on a local entertainment topic.
Funerals
A valuable friend will be your local funeral director.
Most clubs and pubs have the facilities required for these receptions and they’re a great source of income. Look up your local funeral director.
Make yourself seen, give your venue a profile
Join fellow Business people at the local Round Table, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, Business Clubs, etc.
Lend your name to local charity events, so you gain a positive reputation for contributing to the community.
Local Events
Advertise your venue at local events, create flyers, posters etc… Have a drink and,or a meal at our place after the show (or whatever the event). Contact event organisers, perhaps you can give them a discount.
Local Meetings
Host local meetings. Where do the local business groups, women’s groups, farmers, accountants, or police hold their meetings – why not with you?
What about local big employers – are they looking for somewhere different to hold off-site meetings and team-building events?
If you have spare rooms available, there are all sorts of possibilities for making use of them.
